Post Age limits
If you're sixteen, can you go to Glastonbury without an adult?

Sorry, if you're sick of teenagers asking this question. I couldn't see it posted anywhere else...

Thanks.

I have just trawled through glastonbury festivals site and cant find the answer but i'm on a mission now. I think I read somewhere once that kids aged 13-16 need to have a child ticket so I assume over 16 will be allowed entry without an adult but i'm not 100% sure.....YET!

Thank you I've been looking too. I can't find anywhere on the website which clearly says who needs to be with an adult and who doesn't. It's so annoying.

Our son is 14 and we had to pay for his ticket this year and i'm pretty sure the kids ticket option was for 13 to 16 yr olds. I'm pretty sure GlastoWatch will know the answer and also welcome to the forum x

Cant believe your son didnt get a wristband!! grrrr
We had a mix up and friend booked my daughter's ticket and never thought to click child? anyway we phoned see just to check and they said it be fine, long story short.....She DID get a wristband !!!!! Blatantly she doesnt look like a adult, she was 13 at the time, never got asked any questions at the gate,(after all the madness of getting in ect...i never gave it a second thought) and i suppose i presumed if you paid for your ticket, you got a wristband??? i think thats so unfair, and i know for sure if we manage to get tickets for nxt year (fingers crossed) that if she (daughter)dont get a band she will kick off !!! Have you spoke to anybody regarding this??? think that maybe bombarding Glastonbury with emails might sort this ??
Oh god i can feel a head ache b4 i've even got a ticket lol

we thought that but no a child doesnt get a wristband. We wont be complaining to anyone as he wont be going again until he is an adult and buying his own ticket. If we take our youngest then we will just be putting her down as an adult (tickets same price anyway!)

Child ticket if you are 15, Adult ticket if you are 16.
So, if you are 15, someone over 16 has to buy your ticket for you & you need to be accompanied by someone over 16 when you go in.
If you are 16 you can buy your own ticket and go in on your own
........ unless things have changed.

had a little did on the web site and this is all i could find hope it helps

Children aged 12 and under, and child ticket holders, must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder. If you are bringing a child aged 12 or under with you who looks older than 12 it is advisable to bring ID to verify their age.

Believe me, it doesn't happen.
I've been going with my son since he was 10 years old, he's 24 now, and somehow I always end up paying.
I thought I had it sussed this year, told him he had to pay for his own (and girlfriends) ticket, made sure he had all the links, info etc. Recieved a panicking phone call yesterday morning, they thought they could pay by credit card - doh. Dad to the rescue again. Still, it wouldn't be the same without him there anymore, but don't anyone tell him that.

We won't have to worry about it until 2013 now
