We hope to be in the general Glastonbury area by this time next week, waiting for the gates to open to the car park so we can start on the wine

SIX SLEEPS!

My dear OH pointed out last night that by that time next week I'd be in Glastonbury! This time next week then, I reckon I'll just about be getting up now and making myself a big fat fry up!

Am desperately trying to finish knitting a rainbow poncho in time. Been doing it since last year!... Had to take it on the train today

Just been to the fancy dress shop and bought loads of cool stuff to go in my dressing up box!

Was going to go to the gym tonight but am going home instead to start checking what I've got and what I still need to buy!

I love how everyone is so excited and doing stuff to get ready. Some of the friends we're going with aren't even thinking about packing yet.

I'm practically in the car.

Guida,

I bought my flagpole on the internet last year. Try searching for festival gear, or festival flagpoles, there's loads of choice out there - however getting one in time my be a problem so check delivery times.

5 SLEEPS!!!

Sitting at my desk now writing lists! Big food shop list, clothes packing list, toiletries list, stuff still to buy list, etc etc! Good job I'm the boss innit?!

Colleague suggested yesterday I might get a flagpole at a caravan shop down the road... Fingers crossed. Otherwise I might just drape myself in it and nothing else for the day! (My OH's suggestion)

On the subject of baby wipes, would I be right in thinking that they don't degrade very well in a chemical toilet? Just wondering about the toilet in our van... My friend also said that cheap toilet paper is best for that as it degrades quicker than the good stuff. Any thoughts?

Baby wipes do not do ANY tiolet ANY good whatsoever. They just dont go away!

Not sure about the cheap loo roll degrading quicker although some seem to begin the process on the 1st wipe. We love our bums so we take nice stuff.
Buy a bag of nappy sacks and tie used wipes up in them and take them home to dispose of.........not the most pleasant thing but...love the farm, leave no trace.

5 days 21 hours and 58 min.............

That's not a bad idea! Was just wondering about the potential for quickly filling the toilet cassette of bog roll vs baby wipes! I was surprised at how quickly ours got filled last year. Might have to institute rules about only using two sheets per wipe or something!

I got grief for putting wipes down our chemical loo last summer, don't think its a very good idea.

Don't biodegradable ones, erm, biodegrade in the loo either then? What's the point of that?

Well I'm done with work for 2 weeks. Still a bit tired from last night's pre Glasto party where we made all our arrangements - not that I can remember most of them. Bit of food/drink shopping to do. Packing starts tomorrow, final checks Monday.
Very very excited.
