Of course they are different as many Crew camp in crew areas and you need a crew wristband to get in to the general area and a specific crew pass to get into your specific crew area .

its always been like this although some years I end up with three and a few years four wristbands - God knows what they were all for as long as it gets me to the area I want to go.

Glastonbury is unusual as they don't have the word Crew on it.

There is lots of wrist bands depending on what access you required .

Many years ago at the Phoenix { sometime between 93 and 97 } as the WBC was involved with the Production I was moved to the Production Office to help out and while I was there I spotted a board that displayed every Pass that was in use - at that time while a wrist band was used for ticket holders and Guests Crews were issued separate laminates and unbelievable there was eighty laminates and Security were brought in batches and they had two minuets to learn them.

there is no way a person could take in all that information but the laminates were split up into different sections so they were only looking at their own section.

In theory it worked but if a Security Guard was moved from one section to another section then you can see there could be problems.

I was working at London Feis and each day we had to use a different entry gate even although we were assured we were supposed to enter by a certain gate but we never got though that gate so not really sure what went wrong but I hope they get it sorted out if its held next year.

Latitude where I will be working next has to have the best access of any event I work at as they have a separate Crew track that skips all the queue from the crew campsite and a flash of a crew wristband and I am in.
